Adopting a pet requires a major committment for the life of the pet. At Positive Paws we try to learn as much as possible about a potential adoptor to ensure that they and the pet are a great match and that the pet will thrive in the home. Reba
German Shepherd, Female/Spayed, Vaccinated, Microchippe, 1.5 year old, She weighs approx. 80lbs, Eager to learn, Protective, Complies with commands when she understands what is expected. She is very confident.
Freckles
Pitty Mix, 8 mo old, male, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken and uses doggie door, very playful puppy, needs a yard to play and run around, good with other dogs.
Pet Pal Program
Our Pet Pals Program is an endevour that we are very excited about that began in January of 2024. It's very simple. Positive Paws will sponsor two pets from the Bullhead City Animal Shelter by paying a portion of their adoption fee. Each time a pet finds his furever home, Positive Paws will choose another pet to sponsor.

Home Check: Our home checks are not to see where or how you live, but to check for the safety and security for the new family member you are going to adopt. (fences, gates, etc.)

Let’s Talk: Developing a rapport with potential adopters is the most important step in the process. Our conversion will allow us to determine your desires and expectations for a new family member and assist in finding the right companion. An Adoption Questionnaire is used to gather the information we need.
Final Adoption: The day has come for the adoption to be finalized. Adoption papers will be signed, medical records will be transferred, etc. Adoption fee is $100. Dogs will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and in most cases, micro chipped..
Post Adoption: Positive Paws will always be here for you and your pet/s. You can call us with any questions or concerns, no matter how small. You will be called back, and together we’ll find the answer/s.
Adoption Requirements: Must be 18 years or older. Must have a physical (street) address. Current Photo Identification Adoption Fee paid at time of adoption. Positive Paws makes a final decision for the adoption based on what is best for the dog and family.
Meet N Greet: We will schedule a meet-n-greet with a potential adopter who already has a pet/s living in the home. The first meeting occurs on neutral ground away from potential adopters home. Positive Paws always wants to make sure that the pet/s in the home will be accepting of the new dog. Several meet-in-greets may be required.
